🔊NDIS Amendment Bill Passes
The NDIS Amendment Bill was passed on 22 August 2024
The new NDIS laws will take effect on 3 October 2024
Some of the newest changes in the NDIS 2.0 Rollout have just been released (as of the 3rd October 2024).
One of the immediate changes is a new definition of NDIS supports. This will affect all participants. It means that from Thursday 3 October, participants can only spend NDIS funds on items listed as approved NDIS supports.
The NDIA have published lists on their website that clearly define:
• what is an NDIS support
• what is not an NDIS support
• what is a replacement support.
We have attached these documents below this Blog for viewing.
For many participants, this won’t change what they are spending their NDIS funding on as the new lists are based on existing guidance.
If you are feeling nervous about the changes and how they might affect you please reach out to the NDIS or to us, we may be able to provide some more information.
See the links below for updates released on the 2nd of October 2024.

Some changes will be immediate, while others will gradually come into play as they are developed and rolled out.
The Amendment Bill brings significant legislative changes designed to enhance the NDIS's efficiency and effectiveness. These reforms are part of a larger effort to realign the NDIS with its participants' needs.
